Reaction Tap measures how quickly you respond to a visual signal. The wait is randomized, so tapping early counts as a false start.

Quick profile: Typical round 1–2 min · Difficulty Easy · Main skill Reaction time.

How to play Reaction Tap

  1. Tap the large box once to begin a trial, then wait while it displays Wait…
  2. Do not tap early; an early tap is recorded as a false start and the trial must be restarted.
  3. When the box turns green and says TAP!, respond as quickly as you naturally can.
  4. Complete five valid trials to see the median reaction time for that set.

Three useful strategies

  • Rest your finger or mouse close to the target area.
  • Keep your eyes on the center and wait for the visual signal instead of anticipating it.
  • Run several trials and compare the median, not one lucky attempt.

What this game is designed to practice

Reaction Tap uses five valid visual-response trials. The waiting period changes from trial to trial, early taps count as false starts, and the page reports the median response time after five completed signals.
